Crafting out a NEW base

The Magical Crafting Club has officially opened the doors to its brand new premises at Unit 4. HuntersHill Village. What started five years ago with just 6 children in local rented spaces has grown into a buzzing creative space for hundreds of local kids.

Run by Jo, the STEAM-based craft club offers crafty parties, holiday club,  after-school club, family events and community collaborations.

But for Jo, moving into her own space was always about more than just growing the business

“I wanted as many kids as possible to build confidence through creativity

“I wanted them to walk in and feel like they were in their own craft club straight away.”

Sustainability is also a huge part of the club, with local Huntershill Village businesses already rallying round to support by donating cardboard and recyclable materials.

Jo says becoming part of the Huntershill Village community has made the move even more special.

“We’re more than just a craft club,” she added. 

“It’s a place where kids can create, grow and just be themselves.”

Second year in a row, Jo has been in the top 100 Children's Activity Businesses and a finalist for the Solo Star Award at the The Club awards and a  finalists for the Green Growth award through Small Business Britain
